Manara Staff account removal

Your school creates and manages your Manara Staff account. You can ask to remove your staff login without signing in to the app.
How to request account removal
- Email [email protected] with the subject Manara Staff account removal, or ask your school office.
- Tell us your name, school and the staff email address used for your account. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, student records or photos of children.
- We check your identity through a reply from the staff email address on file or confirmation from the school office. If you cannot use your staff email, tell us so we can ask the school office to confirm.
We tell the school about the request and work with it to remove your staff login's access. We answer account removal requests within 30 days. We reply to support emails within 2 business days.
What account removal does
Account removal ends your staff login's access. School records stay with the school. Ask the school about correcting or removing its records. Signing out or deleting the app does not request account removal.
School records include class stories and photos, messages and their read status, registers, marks, notes, Hifdh records and lesson plans. Removing a staff login does not erase those records or copies people have already seen or kept.
How long school records are kept
Schools own their records. Records are kept while the school uses Manara, and the school decides what is removed. Hope Tech deletes a school's data from Manara's live systems within 90 days after the school leaves Manara or asks for deletion.
Removing a staff login ends access but leaves school records with the school. Server logs are kept for 14 days and server backups for 14 days. An encrypted off-site copy of those backups is kept for disaster recovery with no end date, so deleted records can remain in it. Those copies are private, and are used only to restore Manara after a failure.
If you need a record corrected or removed
Tell your school which record needs attention. This is a separate request from removing your staff login. If you cannot reach the school, email us and we will help you contact the school office.
